you cant take it
[ hearts and thoughts they fade away ] Dragon Tiger Gate IS nice! i cannot resist. you may scroll down and skipped this whole review in red. DTG is the first kungfu flick i've seen in such a long tyme. the last was like when? my life's been too filled with hollywood blockbusters lately. but nobody can beat the Chinese when it comes to real gong fu. nicholas tse is still the same. same expressions when he acts. i can cut and paste his facial movements from his first movie and you can hardly see the difference. shawn yue. had surprisingly few scenes in the movie, compared to donnie and nic. eee they cheated us by trying to bill shawn as one of the main characters. donnie yen!!! ahhh! this one is impressive. maybe because, generation gap, i didnt really noticed him in the past. i know that he choreographed A LOT of fighting scenes in A LOT of flicks before but had never seen him in action until now. the scriptwriters must have had a hard time trying to condense all the comics into a single movie that lasts for 1hr30mins. but they threw the pacing of the movie off. there are a few lame scenes that could be cut man. and the producers of DTG definitely did tie-ins with Nokia. i wonder who played the masked villian. their fighting scenes are so nice! but the directer must have felt that it was wasted not to have used enough special effects, so he uses them in other parts. resulted in some scenes looking like somebody did them using basic photoshop! my FIRST pepper lunch! HEY. you blind people. namely jess n sara. AND I SAW FANG! so lovely to see her. *pull her face over* muacks! EDDIE! drunk guys trying to cam-whore. |
